An initial appearance on a Limestone floor will progressively loose its finish. The damage to the surface is due to foot traffic scratches and surface etching Sooner or later, your floor will need to be repolished. We make full use of specialised equipment and industrial diamond tooling to grind, hone and polish the Limestone.
If your floor happens to be installed with jagged tiles, this can be referred to as “lippage”. We can grind off the jagged tile edges, making the floor surface perfectly flat. Grinding Limestone really should only be carried out by professionals. The Limestone will have the look of looking like just one area of Limestone.
Following grinding, the tiles and the grout will be at exactly the same level. It is incredibly easier to maintain a smooth Limestone than an irregular floor. A smooth surface floor doesn't have grout depessions to retain soil. If your Limestone has cracks and chips, we could repair the damage using resin fillers, closely colour matched to the Limestone.
